@Dmelling Well he is right. Droid is Verizon's Android phone line. It's incorrect to use it talking about non "Droid" devices and confusing. I'll give you a +1 for creativity, but a-1 for incorrectness. So overall a 0. A Zero..
@SteveyAyo honestly all the 'Droid' label does is create confusion. On vzw there is a line of phones called 'Droid' - but within that line you have the simply named Motorola 'Droid' along with the Droid Eris and Droid Incredible... All running on the 'Android' operating system.
I bet you half the owners do not realize their phones run on 'Android' and not 'Droid'
@Dmelling NO i dont but i once received a cease and desist letter form a lawyer representing Lucas Films because i promoted my products with the term droid so i might just be a little biased :P
The N9 has arrived. What we can say from our first experience is that we're in the presence of a fantastically designed device with a gorgeous AMOLED screen and some highly responsive performance.

I've been waiting to upgrade to this phone since it was the supersonic. Now that I have it, all I can say is
DROID DOES!
@Dmelling
Droid does NOT exist on sprint.
Android != droid
Lucas films licensed the trademark of droid solely to verizon
@DefPoet which kindof sucks because Droid could be the marketing spin google needs to really send their platform mainstream
@DefPoet I love semantic arguments. Do you always let marketing campaigns define your life?

@Dmelling
yeah, i still call it the supersonic
@Scrtcwlvl im not sure about that, i think the early adopters of Droid got it because it was running Android... but who knows
