Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"As someone who doesn't reside in the USA, I was wondering what would be the best way to get internet for my computer in the US for a couple of weeks? If it were Europe I know I'd look for some prepaid data. Is there anything similar offered by American carriers? A MiFi or a data SIM that I can tether from would work, but I'm trying to maintain a tight budget. Help!"
This should be aimed at hardcore gamers. People that own xbox and ps3 are hard core gamers. Since xbox is a hardcore system. But how about the people that are not hard core gamers. Go buy a $300 Xbox and $150 Kinect while a new Wii is $200 and a used one goes for around $150
@MarcinK
Again.
No, it is not.
Xbox360 indeed have hardcore users but most of the users are simple casual gamers.
Anyways, hardcore users doesn't have enough incomes to justify to spend over $140 in a new control, in fact they whined a lot for a $40 halo 3.
@MarcinK
"People that own xbox are hard core gamers"
¿Really? ¿all 28 million of them? ¿have you personally asked each and every single Xbox 360 owner if they were hardcore gamers?
Well, unlike you, i'm just guessing, but i'm going to bet there's a fair amount of casual gamers that actually own an Xbox 360 (or a PS3 for that matters). I mean, Netflix, Zune, Facebook, Twitter, yeah, those aren't features you may expect to find in a "Gaming Hardcore Only" device.
Xbox is not a Gaming Hardcore System (In fact , i doubt there's such a thing anymore, except maybe a 3000$ PC gaming rig). It's a Home Entertainment System.
And you may excuse me, but, about the prices...¿300$ Xbox? you can get a new one for as few as 200$ (just the same as the Wii). And i don't know where that 150$ pricetag on the kinect comes from, since kinect's price hasn't been announced yet.
@MarcinK To sum up all Xbox users as hardcore is inacurate, considering the Xbox has tons of games for the casual or young gamer, and has many abilities beyond gaming.
However, let's say you are right. Microsoft is making the right move by bringing out Kinect, as it targets that younger/casual audience before the hardcore gamer, while still leaving it in the hands of devs to make the hardcore games available.
If a family walks in and wants to buy a console, will they choose a Wii or an Xbox? Probably the Wii. Introduce Kinect, and now the kids can play Kinect, the teens play COD, and the parents watch movies on Zune or ESPN. Microsoft has just made the console suit every lifestyle and isn't stupid in releasing this.
