Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"As someone who doesn't reside in the USA, I was wondering what would be the best way to get internet for my computer in the US for a couple of weeks? If it were Europe I know I'd look for some prepaid data. Is there anything similar offered by American carriers? A MiFi or a data SIM that I can tether from would work, but I'm trying to maintain a tight budget. Help!"
I am disappoint....
@element4life3 Btw, I own a DS Lite and love it, but I was really expecting 2 bigger screens and slightly better graphics...
@element4life3
I'm watching and just wondering: What the hell is happening? What year are we in? Seriously! It's like 1999 again! Other than this 3DS, the keynote was... old!
@element4life3 He said that the graphics were greatly improved during the keynote. This is especially evident if you compare the Golden Sun (which looked very good for a DS game) trailer and the Kid Icarus (which looked even better) trailer.
@Saad Exactly. I can't believe I am as underwhelmed as I am right now. This needed to have graphics at least on par or better than the PSP, and both screens to be a little bit bigger. And why not make the top screen at least span the entire upper portion? Plus why put the analog stick on the left right above the d-pad? Put it on the other side, since we already have a way of moving on the left with the d-pad.
I am impressed with how they implemented 3D, but the device itself looks too much like what we have been getting since the DS Phat....
@element4life3 Get your eyes checked, now please.
@element4life3 And when did they say that the graphics were on par with the original DS? They said that the hardware has been improved substantially. Watch the Kid Icarus trailer again and tell me that the original DS could do that.
@Saad And I thought it couldn't get any worse than the Microsoft keynote....here is hoping for a good showing from Sony (even though I only own a 360 at the moment, but that could change depending on what I see in a few hours)
@BLEH is my middle name Golden Sun was a normal DS game actually, Kid Icarus looked quite better than most PSP games I've seen.
@coolbho3000 They may have been improved, but not as much as what I was hoping for. Do not for one second think am anti-Nintendo, since I own both a Wii and DS Lite, and I love all of their first party games, it is just that after seeing this 3DS, I am underwhelmed and still see no reason to buy one since I already have my DS Lite. The 3D part still looks cool however, and is a bit tempting, but I will just have to try it first before I completely write it off.
@element4life3 it appears that it is very hard to impress you.. I might get this DS... unless new PSP comes out...
@Dking7 lol, I am not that hard to impress, I just think this time I had my hopes set too high for Nintendo. We have had rehash after rehash of DS redesigns, and I was really looking for them to them to blow me away with a new true successor, but all they have really done is just rehashed another DS but with 3D, one screen is bigger, oh and they threw an analog stick on it for some reason.
I cannot be the only one feeling this way...
@element4life3 I think you're just focusing too much on the fact that the shell looks just like the other DS devices. The design underwhelmed me too but not the graphics or 3D concept. There's no way u can say the graphics aren't better than the PSP tho, it looked better than the new goldeneye for wii xD
