eh your still paying 149.00 so it still 149.99 plus in certain states you cant even get the e-card so yeah your logic is seriously flawed.. as usual go back to reporting apple news it seems its the only thing you really care about here.
@mkyfkr I only use bargain math if I can take the 50 and spend it somewhere beyond walmart. Which you cant. and you cant get the e-card in a few states due to certain laws (which I live in one of them) so its still 149.99+ taxes and no extra money to spend at fuckmart.
For those looking for a device strictly for reading, the new Kobo is a nice little option. It's small enough to slip into a pocket, can do more with a PDF than the competition, and at $129, it's $10 cheaper than both the Nook and Kindle WiFi.

@ajac09 sounds like you need to move to a better state.
@yar so true!
@mkyfkr I don't care if it's $50 with a $500 gift card. It's still WalMart and I still won't give them a dime.
@mkyfkr
I don't care what state you live in--if you pay $150 and get a $50 gift card, you STILL PAY $150!!!
Unless you can use the gift card on the original purchase of $150, THEN you are paying only $100.
WTF Engadget for misleading statements. You ARE getting a $200 VALUE for $150; you ARE NOT spending JUST $100.
Maybe you people need to go back to grammar school and take remedial math.
@BigD145 if its not apple news engadget just half asses it
@ummhello You pay $ 150.0. But get back $50 in a gift card, so its "money" you can spend or keep either way its a great deal
@BigD145 Your loss buddy...thanks for leaving an extra XBox in inventory for someone that enjoys a good deal :)
