How would you change Sony's Dash?
The verdict is still out on whether or not Sony's Dash is a world changer, but while we patiently await the first mod to shove a battery into this thing and make it a bona fide tablet, we're going to flick through your suggestions on tweaking what we've got. Were your hopes dashed (ahem) when Sony revealed that this thing was meant to be used inside? Are you happy with the widget software loaded on? Is this thing superior to your existing Chumby device? Feel free to really let loose here -- we get the feeling that Insignia's Infocast is just waiting around the corner to take your advice before Sony can pop out a revised edition.

whats the point of this? waste of material if you ask me, my phone does all this lol
burn it
Wifi 802.11n
1280x720 10" screen with light sensor and burn in protection
powerful stereo speakers
free kiddy simple devkit
visual studio plugin for c++ devs
basic but sweet alarm clock apps
Test
this is a cool concept for an alarm clock. to call this a tablet would be pushing it. i like waking up and reading about the news/weather/email.
maybe use it for watching movies/videos streamed off wifi. listening to music/mp3s
i would not use this for gaming and e-books. i don't think giving it a battery would help for this purpose either. stick with 'souped-up' alarm clock marketing strategy, lower the price to make it competitive with other 'high-end' alarm clocks, and bring it to CANADA! don't forget about the folks up north eh?
I would add usb, ms, md, hi-md, cd/dvd an PlayStation 2 drive. I put built in front camera for video conferencing. Last thing add playstation 2 with hook up to tv.
so i own a dash and a squeezebox radio. best think to add to the dash is the internet radio capability - listen to local radio, BBC etc. it's almost impossible to do today except for pandora
