Nokia N900 drops to $369, unlocked
Hard to believe but after all this time the N900 remains the most powerful handset in Nokia's vast collection of cellphones. No other Nokia handset even comes close and that won't change until Nokia launches the Symbian^3-powered N8 or the MeeGo-powered N9. So if you've got the dough and a certain inclination to write Python scripts on a Friday night, you might want to think about sliding $369 (down from $649 at launch or $479 currently at Nokia USA) Espoo's way for a crack at the ARM Cortex A8 slider. Sure, it's not the freshest face on the block, but the development community will certainly help eek-out every last bit of value for many months to come.
P.S. Don't forget to apply the coupon code LL17PBSTFKZ440 to get the reduced price.

Does it have free, offline Ovi maps?
@incognito does that have free, offline Ovi maps?
@wupolo, yes, although not the Symbian version - it doesn't have voice and turn-by-turn navigation, everything else is there. For the later, we'll have to wait until Nokia makes Qt-based Ovi Maps so that it can be directly ported as I don't think Nokia will be updating their Maemo-specific version.
In conclusion, voice guidance and turn-by-turn navigation is not available with Ovi Maps on Maemo atm., but will probably be by the fall as they are probably working on Qt version for the upcoming N9 as well as Symbian^3 / Symbian^4 based devices.
@incognito thanks for the great reply. Now I need to get the coupon to work!
@wupolo, no prob. As for the coupon, it worked for me flawlessly by going to: http://slickdeals.net/?pno=35802&lno=1&afsrc=1 , adding it to cart and then entering the coupon code (LL17PBSTFKZ440) in the checkout form.
I don't know how many coupons will be accepted, tho. Maybe they've already spent all the coupons available. Some people suggested that there may be only a thousand N900s available for purchase this way.
Good Grief

Do not buy this phone, get an iPhone 4 or something...
(And leave all them n900 deals to me, please, I'm just a broke-ass student)
the code is not working...i went to order and it wont take it
coupon doesn't work for me :(
Well guys its time to sell your N900's for $150 on ebay instead of $350.. then i can buy one while waiting for the N9!
Code does not work for me! Booooooo
Please help me out.
I have a couple of TB videos mostly in .avi and divx 720p that I need to watch for school while commuting.
Any of these can play them without conversion:
- Nokia N900
- HTC EVO
- iPhone 4G
- Dell Streak
- Nexus One
Excel files editing capability is a big plus too.
Thank you!
@vp19
Use a laptop, kid
@suicidebob
Even a netbook is too big for a crowded train.
I have to stand for more than an hours on way.
@vp19 Cant speak for the others but the n900 plays 1080p mp4 & avi's without a hitch.
$369 for any smartphone is an amazing deal!
If only it was cdma.. >.
Wonder who actually buys this.
50% IT nerds who use it for their job
50% kids who think they're tech gurus, sitting around changing the settings all day, but not actually getting anywhere
You have to shop in small business. Do not enter the home/home office store. The code still works there.
That said, I passed on the deal, as with California tax this thing is still $400. Not really an impulse purchase on my part considering I already have a phone that I'm happy with.
too little to late nokia, im giving up on you guys. I wanted to buy this a long time ago, but lack of ATTs 3g bands, and high cost kept me away. Sorry, too late
Why is there a "Remove Coupon" option? Yes, I want a Nokia n900, but I want to pay $230.00 more than I have to?
Had the N700 and N800. Back then it wasn't a phone yet. But I got tired of being their beta testers. I mean at least give early adopters some discounts. I mean it being beta testers...cause I actually submitted bugs report.
Best phone on the market right now!:)
Outside of geeks few people want to run a triple-boot phone. Right now I use a N-Gage QD as my phone on AT&T, an iPhone 3G as an iPod Touch and a Verizon Mifi for data.The N900 intrigues me, but I lost confidence in Nokia some time ago.
Fuck this. The link's broken now!
