I'm looking forward to MeeGo on some new Nokia Mobiles.
"...what we're getting paid for... BY APPLE!"
I was lmao-ing last night!
why mp3 is not vbr? you can export wave from your program, then encode using proper encoder with optimal settings
I can see their point about iPhone's score. But its a 7/10 0r 8/10 right now, but I see how that worked out.
@EggoEspada
What if it goes in the opposite direction? The reviewer for the N900 didn't have much time to learn the UI before the review, and I remember he got frustrated over a few things about it. Idk what the score ended up as, but I'm sure that it ended up affecting the score.
At the end of the day, I come here to figure out what the best gadget to the dollar is. I don't want to buy a G1 today when there are better things on the market.
needs less laughing - little annoying, for me at least
@senormatt I think CSPAN has a podcast. ;)
@Justin Glow A little more CSPAN and a little less laughing and talking over each other. How does that sit with you?
Please update the feeds :((
@koud Can`t wait to next tuesday when it comes on itunes !!!!!!!!
@koud Yeah, you guys take entirely too long to update your RSS feeds. It's stupefying.
Josh hates Glee.
Samsung Vibrate
I heard the name DROID was copyrighted by Lucas Arts.
I agree with you guys, All the skins on the Android phones have to go.
Chris and Josh sound a lot alike. On top topic of the Droid X and reviews, the reviews shouldn't be about how they change the game or are revolutionary (or however you wanna hash your timing issue). It should be about what it does and how well it does them. Which also confuses me about your Iphone 4 review, it does nothing new or revolutionary, aside from its screen, and yet you guys raved over it. Droid x = nothing really new = 7, EVO = not much new over the Incredible aside from screen ("4G") = 9, Iphone 4 = nothing new, nice screen = 9.....I wouldn't get the X if you guys gave it a 10, cause I want the Fascinate, but just seems a little off.
@xpo
EDIT: I meant that competing phones should be reviewed with the above, obviously a phone a year old or so isn't going to be relevant, but a phone that comes out a month or two after the other should be.
I love that you have times for both "Kin prices still crazy" and "Kin is dead"... and that they're 5 seconds apart.
Well done, updating the rss feed at the same time the podcast went up on the site. That has been driving me crazy for the last few weeks.
Great Podcast Guys
9/10
The Good: Josh's Steve Job's impressions, Chris's mobile expertise and Nilay's insight into Class Acion lawsuits.
The Bad: Josh's overuse of umm and uh.
@Edobe Uh.
Nilay is not a lawyer, he went to law school, but he is a tech journalist.
One who apparently has never heard of PACER.
@BigE4284 I use PACER all the time, but PACER doesn't get you a complaint hours before it's filed -- you only get those from law firms who are angling for coverage.
@Nilay Patel
You didn't make your meaning clear during the podcast.
I sense your uneasiness every time Josh refers to you as a lawyer. It's nice to have someone on staff who has some insight into legal matters since they can be so integral in the current technology environment, yet you can't go so far as to offer legal advice, especially if you choose not to maintain your license.
Plenty of businessmen go to law school but never practice law. This, in my opinion, does not make them lawyers.
@BigE4284 Dude, he's a lawyer. He practiced law before and during being an editor here. He is still a lawyer.
@BigE4284 And my license is maintained, so there's that.
These podcasts are the best things on the internet. Josh, I think you should launch a career as a Steve Jobs impressionist.
Is it possible to be a podcast fanboy? Because I'm pretty sure I am.
Don't stop laughing, and don't stop saying 'umm' and 'uh'. The podcast is fantastic as it is.
Where do they get they're techno/electronic remixes of these songs. I remember one podcast had a remix of 99 Luftballoons.
By far the funniest tech podcast I listen to. You guys manage to keep a light conversational atmosphere but remain informative (give or take a few rants about Mexican cuisine and hilarious impressions). Also, the slides that come with each podcast are pretty nice: you have pictures, info, and links that take you directly to an article. No one else does that! Keep up the good work.
Quality podcast. I was cracking up!
Just joined and really like the content but the hosts need to listen to themselves. Their English is equivalent to teenspeak. "I mean" "But I mean" "Um, um" , "Like", the repetitive phrasing, and the misplaced laughter often at the individual's own comment makes it an intolerable listening experience. The interruptions are somewhat expected (I assume the three hosts are not in the same room). Please stop mimicking Mylie Cyrus-speak and pace yourselves with the exchange and less churlish and childish laughter. Otherwise I hope to continue listening,
@gagadina perhaps you need to find another podcast that's more serious. I like their blend of comedy & tech news. It works for them.
@gagadina That stuff you refer to as "teenspeak", "repetitive phrasing", "misplaced laughter", "intolerable listening experience", "interruptions", "Mylie Cyrus-speak", and "churlish and childish laughter" are all the things that make the Engadget Podcast so magical and revolutionary....and insane :). But hey, I know you Can't be Tamed, I'm not here to tell you can't Party in the USA, I know Every Rose has it's Thorn and in the end we're just Two More Lonely People looking for Forgiveness and Love.
