Scottevest's Carry-On Coat houses all of your portable electronics, stolen hotel shampoo bottles
Truth be told, it's been awhile since we've seen a gadget-laced jacket that really caught our eye. There's the occasional winter coat with a built-in iPod slot, and there's a few unaffordable threads that don't much matter to the vast majority of you, but it's difficult to think of a single overcoat that's as connected as this. Teased by Scottevest, the forthcoming Carry-On-Jacket is as functional as it is delightful, with an internal pocket made specifically for touchscreen devices so you'll never even have to reach inside to skip tracks. There's also an internal Personal Area Network (PAN), a dedicated BlackBerry (or any smartphone, really) holder, passport pouch, a digital camera compartment, iPad pocket (er, "PadPocket") and a separate area made specifically for those zip-locked liquids that you'll need easy access to at the TSA screening zone. Needless to say, the avid traveler with a pinch of geek lust should be grinning from ear-to-ear just gazing at this masterpiece, and honestly, we could see this converting even the hardest of hardcore Rollaboard warriors. Now all we need is a price and release date, STAT.

@ananworks
You're supposed to take it off and put it through the scanner.
I'm all for it, with airlines charging for carry ons, this coat is sticking it to the man.
@jca998
which is a good thing, since you won't be sticking it to the ladies wearing this coat.
Dangit, earbuds do not make a PAN! No chance of it! Unless you count the cord and the actual buds as two separate things. There is no use for a wired PAN to be hidden in this jacket. If you really need a PAN for some reason, I'd suggest sticking in a dedicated bluetooth master device, or something.
Where does the douche bag fit?
@Sofabutt In that big section in the middle, also through the sleeves, and it kinda hangs out the bottom and top a little bit...
Shhh... Everyone can be a spy now.
as someone who travels for business every week- this is really awesome if its as good as it sounds. where do I buy? someone do a product review!
This is perfect, i can have my ipad and it will hold my cloths for a quick change after an exposure at local elementary school bus stops. anyone have a windowless van for sale?
Who wears overcoats?
would it loss signal if i put it the wrong way
Not only can you be a hoarder at home, you can now be a hoarder on the go!
Bought one of these a couple of years back they seemed cool.
Totally uncomfortable materials, and the weight of any but the lightest device you carry is not borne well by the jacket.
Sold it after a few weeks at almost no loss except for the shipping cost, because there is no end of suckers for a gadget.
@UMPCman It hasn't been released yet.
I am surprised they didnt put any pockets in the sleeves. It could really use some.
@PathogenX Perhaps the pics just don't show them, but my Evolution jacket from SeV has pockets in the sleeves.
It would make your jacket really heavy. I really don't think I need it. Just buy a big phone like the EVO 4G, and you have all the gadgets you need. No need to carry a purse for the iPad.
Watch the quality and material it's made of. If you have to return tthey don't refund shipping.
Coats are undersized also... If you wear an XL better go a size larger.
I would recommend avoiding.
WANT
Where is the iPad slot?
@AlienSix nevermind I see it
I mean they're not really stolen. They give you the shampoo bottles and they don't re-use them with the next guests!
We also need 21st century battery technology. The biggest bottleneck to innovation out there is the crappy 19th century battery technology that we are still using. Everything from consumer technology to NASA is held waiting on a significant breakthrough.
That's not sketchy...
Haha, who here remembers that cartoon called "recess"? this is what that kid that sold stuff to everyone was wearing!
Does it have a pocket for my selection of double-ended dildos?
@SeaofSand
Why??
Don't you carry them with you already inserted in your @$$ ?
i bet it's gona be really heavy to wear~
You'd be thrown in Gitmo for wearing that through a 'security checkpoint'.
Wow, this guys shirts and shoes are really small, the size of an iPhone.
Do you have to have mini feet and torso to fit everything in?
"Nobulge pocket design" - no I'm not happy to see you.
Well that's one way to give the finger to the airline checked baggage fees and one huge middle finger to Spirit Airlines and their carry-on baggage fee.
What the heck do you do with it once you are on a plane... You can't wear it, it would be way to uncomfortable, and would you really stow it in the overhead compartment??
@Digby88 Yes. 1. Take gadgets you want to use out of jacket, place in pocket in front of you. 2. Take jacket and place in overhead bin.
@Alv It has a pocket for both your iPhone & your smartphone...
is this thing bulletproof, cause I don't want my items to be destroyed by gunfire.
Where is the pocket for power adapters for all those gadgets? They have forgot this.
lol Resident Evil 4 moment
"Got a lot of good things on sale, stranger!"
I like that coat.
Very practical. I can bring everything I need for a all day long.
It also suitable for every sales person who travel around with motorbike.
Dude, this is obviously designed for shoplifting. No bulge pockets?
Looks like a great jacket for shoplifters.
That's amazing, but can it run Crysis?
sir, you can't bring that bottle of water through the checkpoint
*man starts drinking water*
SIR, NO!! YOU CANT DRINK THAT HERE!
*all flights canceled*
Something tells me you'll look as burly as Hagrid when wearing this...
