Do anything with your iphone and it becomes news. I guess if you wipe your a** with the iPhone and show the phone to the media, it becomes "news".
And no I am not bitter because I didn't think of doing this first. I'm bitter because people don't stop thinking of stuff like this. A camera phone is a camera phone and a dslr is a dlsr. Everyone knows this already. So stop pretending this is awesome already!

Yeah, dig that classy innovation, man - sticking a big dslr lens onto a tiny phone ccd sensor. You're better off just buying a complete entry level dslr and hotgluing your phone to it.

@beast101 There has been 4 android phones I n the last 2 days if I'm not mistaken, vs this one post about a camera attachment on the new iPhone, because it's on the new one, kinda like when there's a new jailbreak for the newest device, it's just the same old jailbreak, but it let's people know it exists, you call engadget iPhone biased but you are 5x as android biased...as in HYPOCRITE

My understanding is that ad revenue is related to page views. Easy way to reduce ad revenue on iPhone articles.... Stop reading them, and stop commenting on them.
It might have escaped your attention, but the majority of comments in iPhone articles are self professed Android fans acting like children. As a direct result of these asinine comments iPhone articles Engadget records a higher number of page views. They would have to be idiots NOT to post more iPhone articles. So simple solution for all those complaining about incessant iPhone articles... exercise a little self control, and don't bother reading the article at all. If enough people do that, the balance of articles will inevitably shift. Alternatively, continue to act like children, and things won't change. The choice is yours.

@jroff THANK YOU! It's good to know that there are people out there who understand that putting a lens on a camera doesn't necessarily make for better picture quality and in some cases (like this) can make it worse.
Hey people, adding lenses reduces the light going into your camera. On cameras like this your light is more important than your depth of field.

@PavelAK With the mod? Probably not. Without it? Yeah and apple just informed me my new phone can make calls! Wow! And I never touch that 1 mm of antenna that screws reception for some people
@That guy 2 Yes i'm talking about with the mod, seeing thats what the topic is about. but i do have to add, iPhone 4 Owners: Don't you dare complain about reception, i get worse reception on my original iPhone (that I am painfully forced to use) even when you do your "Death Grip"
