@samleung There is really not much to fear you guys. If you follow the instructions and read them clearly, you'll be in good shape. Most things are detailed really well. On top of that, there are few things that can go wrong.

Me too. Coming from the relatively painless and automated jailbreaking from ipod touch and iphone, rooting seems a tad more risky.

@djbentley Don't worry. I know nothing about code, but I had no problems with my htc. Just copy/paste any code, and everything should be fine.

If you aren't comfortable doing it then don't do it. With Android you really don't have to do any of that - it's already open enough.
