A modern, Danish case for your modern, Danish computer
Wooden computer cases? We've been there before, but few offer the simple elegance of this "Modern Danish-styled PC enclosure" photographed by slipperyskip at Collectors Weekly -- who jokingly indicates it wouldn't look out of place on the set of Mad Men. We think an integrated ash tray is a necessity before it could make the cut at Sterling Cooper, but it does appear to have plenty of room on top for scotch glasses. The case is said to be 85 percent complete, and hopefully some of that last 15 percent includes actually putting some hardware in the thing. Pretty as it is, an empty case won't do you much good.

@R94N
Ikea is Swedish...
@bebop Sweden is Denmark.. **
@Jakob No no no no no... Denmark is the capital of Sweden...
@jak0b
facepalm
Looks like my stepdads old speakers from the 70's
Since when was ikea Danish, it's from sweden
@LeeAlmighty Yeah, oops :(
It looks like shit.
Why they still thinks pc cases are like this? I guess 80% of actual pc's fit on half the space. 4-5 pci? How many people use more than 2? Most use none. Stop making pc look like crap! They can be stylish!
I should make one of these out of Brazilian cherry in wood shop :)
Needs hidden cable management. As is, it would look like total poo when completed.
Now where's that math project of mine from the 8th grade..?? Oh wait...
My dad still has some ancient speakers that look exactly like this case :)
i wonder if i could put PCs into them and sell them at some ridiculous price
This with a pile of ash and cigerette butts seems pretty pedophile'ish to me.
If you ask me, that case is ugly. Not to mention the legs look extremely flimsy. No space for 5.25" drives? Fail
Cheap design. No thanks
Another slipperyskip case :D
Is it up at SPCR yet?
bah ha! '80s floor standing speaker meets '80s end table.
Sweden is Denmarks toilet.
This case can't be good. How will it get rid of heat. A fan out the back ain't enuff for todays i7's. I have enuff trouble running passive on i7 in the summer heat.
Back to the 1960s. And by the way, IKEA is not Danish and most is made in China.
I just don't see anything attractive about this case at all. Maybe it's just me liking computers to look more modern, but this case isn't doing anything for me.
Wake me up when there's a Modern English case for my Modern English computer.
Neither the material nor the design are modern. Anyway, a modern computer case will basically be invisible or at the very least handheld since that's the direction the technology is moving in. A modern computer of this size should be able to emulate my brain * 1000.
