Adding further fuel to the fire are three additional easy-swap hard disk drive (HDD) cages, allowing up to a total of four Serial ATA 3 G/bs high-capacity hard disks to be added with up to 2TB(2) capacity per single drive for a total storage capacity of up to 8TB. Users can save game files, movies, music and more on the local disks, which can be removed for transport.
The Aspire Predator provides clear, heart pounding sound to ratchet up the excitement of gaming tourneys via high-definition 7.1-channel audio, Creative® THX® TruStudio PC™ and EAX® 5.0 technology.
A state-of-the-art, two-part liquid cooling system protects PC performance even during the fiercest matches, so gamers can confidently push their limits.
Radical Design Intimidates Rivals
Showcasing Acer's innovation, the dramatic orange and black desktop visually shouts power. The intimidating exterior boasts a mechanized front cover that can be raised up and over the front of the chassis to provide convenient access to a multi-card reader, USB and audio ports. The chassis is also covered by a rugged protective material and has a secure handle for transport.
Opening the case reveals the inner power of the Predator, including striking and highly dynamic mechanical elements and cool lighting effects, such as claw-like optical disc drive (ODD) doors, easy swap HDDs and red LED lighting. An illuminated door on the lower front of the chassis provides quick entry to the hard disks, simplifying upgrades.

@angelusp
At least it's better than those overpriced underpowered iMacs
why do gaming desktop and laptop has to be big and ugly?
GAMING RIGS DO NOT NEED 12GB OF RAM!
@archkron Exactly, but the unknowing consumer wants the bigger G B's lol. I run 2 gigs on win7 just fine playing everything from crysis to BFBC2 on highest settings.
that is one ugly mudderfudder!
I guess I'm getting old enough where I just don't find cases like this appealing anymore...
@angelusp
$2000 and they don't even give you Win 7 Ultimate? why stick with home premium in a box that clearly was designed for the Ultimate Experience.
damn. I own a haf 932, so know what some people think about ugly cases, but that is by far the ugliest case I've ever seen. Price tag is also ridiculous for what you get. I don't know where the market is for this. Any sane gamer builds their own machine.
@WoodyHD
i have one of those two, it ain't THAT ugly!
@BrianH
too*
@willowtwf It really annoys me that Remote Desktop doesn't feature in Home Premium. If I just want to connect to my PC from my laptop I have to upgrade my license? Meh, I've gone back to Ubuntu.
That case will look so cool and so bad a.ss.. up until 2 seconds.
But going serious here. It's a direct aim at alienware from the start..
It's Aliens vs Predators. :P
I actually really like that case. Wouldn't mind a different color like blue just just all around black. But it looks sick. I think the price tag is a little much. Maybe I'm just cheap
@angelusp
"an Appetite for Destruction"? lol, only thing it's gonna destroy is your wallet
Wow. That system looks like it flip into ED-209 from Robocop. Display some military weapons at you and go: "..downloading illegal music is a crime, put down the mouse...you have 20 seconds to comply." lol.
That case is the PC gaming equivalent of 24" wheels, spinners, neon pink underglow, scissor doors, exhaust flame-throwers, and random tribal vinyls.
I'll personally take my nice, clean, classy aluminum Antec case over this any day.
That is a BUTT UGLY computer.
@TheCake
A better comparison would be the Mac Pro. Both have similar specs.
CTRL, ALT, DELETE that thing back to where it came please
The case looks like compressed aircraft wreckage that was spray painted black/orange.
decepticon or autobot??
People who make gaming rigs are so insane sometimes ... there is no game on the planet that takes advantage of the mega threaded i7 CPUs. What a waste of money ... it's all about a good motherboard, more RAM you can cram in there, and a kick ass graphic card ... any cpu over like an i5 is a waste of cash for a gaming rig.
unless you need bragging rights for your computer ... gotta have some excuse for not being able to afford moving out of your parents basement.
@tombstorm Except the mac pro starts at $500 more expensive and has 1/5th the horsepower of the AG7750.
I'd be scared this thing would come alive at any moment and end the world as we know it.
You can get it from newegg for around 1850

@angelusp: it someone guaranteed that Brody's career would be over if I bought one of those... well, that might be a small price to pay. :D
No USB 3.0? Seeya.
My set up is better then this pos! lol
I just built my new pc last week, antec 902 case, extra fans, dvd burner, multicard reader,
asus p6x58d
i7-930
6gb corsair dominator ram
1TB western digital SATA 6GB drive
GTX 480
Lycosa keyboard
logitech g9x mouse
now there's nothing "no name" in there sept maybe the multi card reader, and I paid just under $1200, and have $300 in rebates coming back to me, I call that $900 for a rig that is better then this one, except it has water cooling and mine doesn't.
$2000 is too much, especially when you consider the kinds of prices/discounts a company like Acer can pull off.
Does it just kill Adrien Brody or can i program that feature?
Aren't we all?
@Dankeshane1971 haha i agree, plus i've seen it, looks better in real life
They had this set up at Best Buy, its just cheap plastic, just as tacky in public. Also I agree, 12GB for RAM hahah why
my Blackbird 002>>>>>
Pass the eye bleach, please.
Would I be able to leave it alone with large pets? My horse loves computers.
@RincewindWiz
You can easily enable RDP server for home premium as well. Read through the messages here. http://thegreenbutton.com/forums/p/79427/398890.aspx.
I have had this installed since Feb and no problems with it at all.
@angelusp WTF?! 2000 dolars for computer with 470 GTX.. no, thanks. for this money I can have 2 480GTX.. descent i7, and proper motherboard, with that fancy case. I'd go for DIY.
@angelusp Why do Asian companies make the ugliest frakkin computers on the face of the planet... seriously they need to take a lesson from Apple on what looks good and what doesnt.
@slipdisc
...and a Mac Pro will sell a couple million, and this thing will sell about a thousand, if they are lucky.
@angelusp $2,000 does not seem too bad for that monster, think back a few years cost wise I think it is a pretty good deal. If you think about the silly cost of an iPhone then look at it's performance then scale up it's pretty special
$1999 and they couldn't toss in Win 7 ultimate just for the hell of it?
i'd don't think it's to out of line price wise like everything else like it it's for a niche market but for that price i would easily build my own using my favorite overpriced case the thermaltake level 10
@PlatinumSkeet
I tried buying an earlier version of that case when I first saw it. It was not for sale. The case must and the specified options are packaged.
@TheCake you cant compare them. imacs arent even in the same category... its like saying: OH LOOK! y alienware m17x laptop is WAAAY better than that 10"netbook!!!!!111oneeleven!!!
anyway, only thing apple that compares to these are the mac pros, and considering they'll update soon, we can't talk either, it would be unfair to compare a 2+ year old system vs a new one, or are you gonna say your current setup is WAAAY better than one of those big, overpriced, underpowered old Antikythera mechanisms??? (hint: a mechanical 1900s computer used to calculate astronomical positions)
does it transform into a robot and bring you beer?
Designed by a man who only had a ruler....
dell has alienware while acer has predator.
Now showing..
Alienware vs. Predator
