Down on Apple's In-Ear Headphones

Steve Sande of PDAntic reviews Apple's (relatively) new In-Ear Headphones, which are reputed to have better sound quality than the standard earbud headphones that ship with the iPod. Except that according to Steve they don't:

[T]he sound quality? It's crap. Everything I listened to sounded "hissy", as opposed to the smooth and mellow
tones of the standard earbuds. I tried playing with the equalizer on the iPod to adjust the sound quality, but
nothing helped.

The fact that he couldn't get them to stay in his ears probably didn't make things any easier.
