“Hey Ya!” at 29 pence

It just gets better in Europe, through the wires we learn that Wippit relaunched today
offering downloads at 29p ($0.54). This move is the declaration of an European price war for digital songs.

Most European services follow the price model created by Apple iTune's and charge the the
equivalent of 99 pence per download.
Price wars are always good for consumers and
this one could, eventually, cause in a longer-term the death of the CD format as we know it.
