The dirty hands scanner

A company called eMerge Interactive is selling the VerifEYE, a fluorescent blue-light scanner that can reveal instantly whether minute amounts of fecal material still remain on your hands. The sooner people start using these things the better, since dining out here in New York tends to be one of those "don't ask,
don't tell" type of situations where you really don't want to know how dirty it is back there in the kitchen. (We know a few people in the restaurant industry who won't ever eat out because they know how bad it can get.)
