Philips first with 16X DVD burner

It was gonna happen sooner or later, and it looks like Philips is first out of the gate with a 16X DVD recorder,
which can burn a DVD in less than six minutes. It was only about nine months that the first 8X DVD burners surfaced,
but if you're thinking of holding out for a 24X DVD burner, don't bother. From what we hear,
16X is the end of the line. Anyway, Dell is slated to be the first manufacturer to put the 16X drives into their PCs.
