Women's gaming conference announced

The first annual Women's Game Conference will be held on September 9 & 10 in Austin,
Texas.  The event is being organized by The Game Initiative and will showcase a number of developers, manufacturers, publishers, and educators associated with the industry.  According to Christopher V.
Sherman, Executive Director of the conference, "The average age of gamers is 29... and a third of game players are women."  Among its various initiatives, the conference promises to offer career advice to women looking for an opportunity to break into the industry.  Head to the official website for more information.
