Boy accidentally kills himself over cellphone

Bringing to a tragic conclusion to one parent/child argument of "Why can't I have this?" "Because you have to earn it yourself", a 12-year old English boy attempted to scare his parents after they refused to let him get a cellphone by faking a suicide, and unfortunately only succeeded at killing himself. It's just bizarre that just a few years ago you weren't cool in school unless you had the right Visions or Calvin Kleins, and now the cellphone is the adolescent must-have status symbol du jour.
