Human-powered helicopter remains earthbound

That human-powered helicopter we mentioned the other day? Oh, that didn't work out. Yesterday a group from the University of British Columbia tried to lay claim to a
$27,000 prize offered by the American Helicopter Association with a helicopter they built, but the "atmospheric conditions" weren't right. After several attempts (and several broken parts), they gave up for the day, but said they'll be making another attempt again soon.
