Did T-Mobile block text messages at the RNC?
Protesters trying to use TXTmob (a service for sending mass text messages to groups of people) to organize during this past week's Republican National Convention in NYC are asking if T-Mobile was blocking messages sent to their subscribers. Apparently as things heated up the TXTmob service dispatched the message saying that "T-Mobile blocked TXTmob messages during a portion of the RNC". It could just be that there were too many messages from one server
(TXTmob) and the network automatically stops that sorta thing. This is normally a good thing when it's spam, but depending on one's level of tinfoil hat-ness it could indicate something far more sinister. If we find out more we'll let you know—unless we're told not to.
