The "brushed metal" iPod

We've been hearing reports about people doing this; literally brushing the metal on the back of their iPod with some Scotchbrite for that brushed-aluminum effect. Apparently this guy took it as a major compliment when his girlfriend asked him to do the same to her iPod. Funny, that's just what we thought all iPods look like after a couple weeks of use, anyway, but we have a sneaking suspicion that she was just being sweet. That's why they're called the fairer sex,
right? So, who's for a "brushed metal" Bentley? One positive note: doing this doesn't automatically void your warranty.
