BenQ's Joybook 7000 multimedia laptop
We've been pretty unsecret about our secret love for BenQ (which goes totally unrequited), but we're not quite as impressed with their new multimedia-centric Joybook 7000 laptop as HardwareZone is. It's not that we don't agree with them and think it's totally fine or whatever, it's just that you can get everything found in the Joybook 7000 (a 14-inch widescreen LCD, a DVD+RW drive, 802.11b/g, and tons of multimedia software) in
HP's new dv1000 Entertainment laptop—and you get the dv1000 with a faster processor, more RAM, QuickPlay software, and a bigger hard drive. Not that it really matters all that much since it's next to impossible to find any BenQ laptops for sale in the US.
