THUG 2 offers much (very much) of the same

THUG 2 has landed in stores, marking the sixth season Tony and the gang have lit up the virtual streets. The ride has been smooth for the most part, and to its credit, the Hawk series has always offered more variation form year-to-year than other perennial sports titles. But perhaps Neversoft has reached its limit this time,
as the developer has already announced it will focus its attention on an original title for next year. That's not to say that the Tony Hawk franchise has come to an end, hardly. THUG 2 offers up a two-team demolition story mode,
exploiting the (relatively) recent MTV-fame of Bam Margera. And for us old-schoolers, there's Classic Mode which sees a return to the good ol' days of simple, 2 minute timed runs. Throw in a ton of customization and multiplayer modes, and you're looking at one helluva hardcore ride. But Hawk games have always been accessible to gamers of all shapes and sizes. So whether you're a videogame nut or someone who couldn't locate the "X'" button with your eyes closed, or just somewhere in between, THUG 2 has a lot to offer, albeit a familiar offering.
