WiFi patient tags

A UK hospital has developed what they claim is the world's first WiFi patient tag system, allowing doctors armed with a PDA to view pre-operative checklists, monitor patient location, and most importantly, view a picture of the patient to make sure they are operating on the right person
(having the wrong arm amptutated totally bites). The potential for WiFi hackery aside, the hope is that the system will allow doctors to be more efficient, and there's talk that it will be spread throughout UK hospitals if this pilot program is successful.
