Symantec wants to protect your cellphone

It's the virus, trojan, and worm writers who keep all the anti-virus companies in business, and the latest gift that keeps on giving has been all the sketchiness for cellphones, handhelds, and other mobile devices. Cellphone viruses haven't been a massive problem yet, mainly because of the slow connection speeds and the lack of standardized platforms, but with a few already popping up (like
Caribe) and more on the way, Symantec has deciced to strike while the iron is hot and is cutting deals to get their security software on cellphones and smartphones worldwide. Their latest conquest was Nokia, which is preloading their antivirus and firewall software on the memory cards of their new 9300 (pictured at right) and 9500 Communicator smartphones, and is possibly getting hot and heavy with NTT DoCoMo about putting their protection into a bunch of the new Symbian-powered phones they're going to be carrying.
