Mile-wide Bluetooth connectivty

Bluetooth is great and all, but wouldn't it be nice if you could make a connection a little bit futher than 50 feet?  How about 4,950 feet?  By replacing Linksys USBBT100 Class 1 USB Bluetooth adapter's stock antenna with a HyperGain RE05U 2.4GHz antenna, Mike Outmesguine was able to extend his Bluetooth range to about a mile.  The good news is that this modification doesn't interfere with WiFi.  The bad news is that you have to be good with a soldering iron.
