iBand adds IR to the handshake
A velcro wristband called iBand turns handshakes into digital data exchanges. By simply shaking someone's hand (assuming both are wearing iBands, which is another issue), you can transmit your data while receiving his. Each user has a unique led symbol that is also exchanged,
and the more people you have met, the more your LED changes shape into those new friends' icons. iBand uses computer-based software to setup, backup, and upload all the data you have acquired during your hand whoring ways. This device could turn an otherwise boring conference into a bizarre festival of touching and awkward smiles. Eww.
