Half-Life 2 stuttering bug is going to be fixed today

I've actually stopped playing Half-Life 2 due to this bug. That's right. The best game of the year, and possibly ever, has been sitting dormant on the hard drive (well, Steam) as I await the fix for the dreaded stutterer.

I seem to be falling victim to a lot of these "rare" bugs that are hitting the AAA products. I also ran into the dead pixel problem on my new Nintendo DS. Oh well. Nintendo plans to replace any Nintendo DS with the problem, and Valve is preparing the fix for release today, according to this site (dedicated solely to the bug, so don't expect any design awards here).

Oh yeah, a tip for you perverts out there. If you haven't already zoomed in on Alyx's butt, you should do so. She wears purple underwear. I don't believe you can see it if you just glance. You have to admit your weakness and use the zoom feature. Apologies to our female readers for my moment(s) of weakness(es).
