Sony's new MDR-SA5000 headphones for SACD and high-definition audio
Sony's coming out with the MDR-SA5000, a new pair of high-definition headphones for those who need some seriously accurate playback. The lightweight headphones (260 grams) reduce pressure on the head while the "nano composite HD
driver" unit allows some serious frequency response resulting in what Sony claims is a close-to-perfect listening experience. They even claim that the high-purity, low-oxygen wire used improves signal transmission, which mainly allows them to charge extra money for the headphones (but we won't get into all that).
