iCompositions launches resources for GarageBand users
iCompositions has launched a new GarageBand Tools section for GarageBand composers seeking creative and technical inspiration for using Apple's popular music-making tool. GarageBand Tools features three sections: "Enhance GarageBand" details software add-ons, "Learn GarageBand" for tutorials and recommended learning resources, and "Control GarageBand" showcasing hardware options for enhancing GarageBand.
Out of curiosity, who uses GarageBand and how would you rate your level of audio experience: beginning, hobbyist,
intermediate, aspiring pro, pro, other? For those who've used other audio sequencers, how does it compare in terms of functionality and ease of use? If you have your GarageBand tracks posted online, please feel free to post a link so we can check 'em out!
In answer to my own questions – I would classify myself as an intermediate hobbyist... I've used Digital Performer, Pro Tools, Logic, Tracktion (way cool, low-cost audio sequencer from Mackie), Reason and Ableton Live and found GarageBand to be most similar to the latter. I've only dabbled in GarageBand, but it seemed dead intuitive to use, if not as feature-rich.
