NY Times on higher-def DVD players

It's still gonna be a little while before you'll be able to not buy an HD-DVD or Blu-ray high-definition DVD player because you don't want to get stuck with next year's Betamax, but there's an article in this week's Circuits section of the New York Times about high-end DVD players that cost a little more, but upconvert the video signal to take advantage of the better resolution of high-definition displays. They check out players from Denon, Panasonic,
Samsung, Sony, and Toshiba (they didn't check out any players from smaller manufacturers like KiSS and V Inc., and others), and find that if you have a TV with DVI or HDMI inputs you probably will notice an improvement in picture quality.
