The Sensiboil
It's sort of embarrassing that it's almost the year 2005 and we don't have a robotic kitchen that's cooking everything for us by now, but we suppose we'll settle for the Sensiboil, a tricked out stove which is supposed to stop pots from both boiling over or boiling dry. The idea is to free us humans from having to stand there, idly waiting for something to happen, and basically consists of a sensor which detects humidity levels; if the pot begins to boil, it can automatically lower the stove's temperature, and will turn itself off entirely if pot boils dry.
