The Tablet PC gets gamer on us

We don't know why they hadn't released one already (well yeah, we kind of do), but Microsoft's finally getting around to laying down a game SDK (software development kit) for the XP Tablet PC platform, as well as hitting us with a couple first-gen games. Joystiq rightfully points out that this plan definitely follows in the path currently being paved by the DS, but they're still about $2,000 from being anywhere near the same realm, nevermind the fact that Tablet PCs don't exactly have a whole lot of integrated game-centric controls. We'll see where they go with this, but it's going to take a lot more than an SDK to get the Tablet PC platform off the ground at this point.
