Belkin plans Bluetooth kit for iPod

Up until now, iPod users looking to wirelessly link their players to a home stereo or external speakers have pretty much had one option: FM transmitters like the Griffin iTrip, which typically have less-than-stellar sound (especially in urban areas where the spectrum is crowded). Sure, there have been other workarounds, like 900 MHz wireless speakers, but for the most part, wired
(or docked) iPods have been the norm. Now, however, it looks like there may be a more viable wireless solution in the form of a Bluetooth adapter. According to iPodLounge,
Belkin Corp. is planning to introduce the TuneStage, a Bluetooth kit that will link the iPod to any stereo system. Word is the product will be introduced next month at CES and Macworld. We really hope Belkin can get it together. The last company to push an iPod Bluetooth adapter, TEN Technology, announced
their naviPlay at CES last January. Nearly a year later, it's still vaporware.
