Hiroshi Yamauchi's interview totally from left field

Whoa, we have no idea where this came from, but the February issue of Wired supposedly features an, um,
interesting interview with former Nintendo CEO Hiroshi Yamauchi. Whether or not the interview's real or not (though we're almost 100% it's a hoax), "Yamauchi" (we've even heard that it's a big pre-4/1 joke) has some outrageously insightful points about the cultural gaming divide, and some of the most wonderful quotes we've heard 'round these parts in a looong time from any 77-year old gaming god:

  • "[Kirby] looks a bit... homosexual"

  • "Every japanese product is superior to its western equivalent"

  • "Look at the size and weight of the PSP, you could kill a man with it. Look at the shape. ... It's shaped like a
    giant penis."

  • "Mikami [Capcom exec] is a double faced bastard..."

  • [On designing Mario] "I told [Shigeru Miyamoto], [Mario] is Italian, Italians are hairy, he needs a moustache,
    and so what if some idiots think he looks like Hitler?"

  • Our fav: "What Godzilla started we will finish."
