Sanyo @ CES - VPC-C4, NV-E7500, and more…
So you know that Sanyo VPC-C4 we just told you about?
Yeah, so it definitely is the exact same thing as the
DMC-C4 (no surprise there) and it definitely is really tiny. Not so chic, but very, very small. Click on for some more shots and the deets on their new DVD
navigation/player handheld, and some other expected prods.
We likey, we likey. Not in love, but definitely in like.
So this little baby (well, maybe not so little) has got the goods in a major way: 7-inch touchscreen TFT
(about VGA quality resolution), built in stereo speakers, video/audio in/out (via 1/8th-inch minijack),
CD/CD-R/CD-RW/DVD playback, and GPS features, including POI search, guidance, auto re-routing, and user-switchable 2D/3D display. Gonna set you back about 1.5K though, friend, and should be released in the second quarter. We?ll let you know how it is when we jack it though (it doesn?t have a GPS transmitter, does it?).
Also to be expected from Sanyo is a Sirius satellite receiver (what, no XM?), the CRSR-10, which will have dual antennas and should retail at $150. Also expect Sanyo to release a new projector aimed at the home market, the PLV-Z3.
It will have a 2000:1 contrast ratio, 10 bit image processing (which they claim can display over a billion colors?we?ll believe it when we see it), 3 component, S-Video, composite, VGA (D-Sub 15), HDMI connection, and even an HDTV tuner.
Dizamn. We don?t know its operating resolution, but it?s going to go for $2,500, so we hope they?re gunnin? for at least 768 hi-def.
