Motorola cellphones @ CES - The E815, the V635, and the V186
Motorola usually intros a bunch of new handsets at the same time, and this year's CES is no exception, but there were three announced today that are especially noteworthy:
-
The E815, Motorola's first EV-DO-enabled handset (which means it's compatible with Verizon's high-speed
wirelesss network here in the States). Also has Bluetooth, 1.3 megapixel digital camera, 40MB of RAM, a TransFlash
memory card slot, and built-in MP3 music software. -
The V635, an EDGE-enabled (sort of like a faster version of GPRS) handset that sports a 1.2 megapixel digital
camera and Bluetooth. -
The V186, another EDGE-enabled handset, though this one is described as being "voice-centric", which mainly
sounds like a euphemism for "has no special features" (though to be fair, there are plenty of people who see that
as a plus).
