NEC Japan announces LaVie and Valuestar notebook and desktop systems

NEC Japan has just announced two new systems:  the LaVie LW900/BD, a laptop, and the ValueStar VR770/BD, the quasi retro looking desktop unit seen here.  The LaVie is equipped with a Pentium M 730-1.60GHz, ATI Mobility Radeon 9100, 512MB RAM, 100GB hard drive and a 17-inch WXGA+ screen.  The ValueStar has a Pentium 4 530J-3GHz,
Intel 915GV, 512MB RAM, 250GB hard drive, and a 19-inch WXGA+ screen.  Both should be available in Japan later this month.
