Imation's on the scratch-resistant disc bandwagon with ForceField
We're not sure Imation's ForceField is the same anti-scratching techniques we saw from those
Japanese scientists before, but it's right about time some media companies hit the anti-scratch bandwagon (TDK, did too, we understand). ForceField is supposed to repel up to 100 times more dust and surface particles than a regular disc, as well as provide greatly increased scuff, smudge,
smear, and scratch protection. Of course, this is bad for the MPAA/RIAA since now it's harder for them to make you rebuy your movies 14 times when your kid kills your latest Finding Nemo disc, but we'll be more than happy (and feeling a whole lot less guilty) to continue in our lazy lazy ways of stacking discs on discs on our desks.
