Sony @ CES - The Handycam DCR-DVD7E

We know they want to make sure that nobody boosts anything, but Sony's insistence on anchoring their digital cameras and camcorders to these big black metal tethers was definitely cramping our style, at least when we tried to grab a few shots of the Handycam DCR-DVD7E (which records directly onto 8cm DVD-R, DVD-RW, and DVD+RW discs). So just ignore all that stuff at the bottom, if you can. The DCR-DVD7E
definitely didn't get much love from y'all when it was announced, but in Sony's defense it is a lot smaller in person than it seemed from those press photos. Click to see a couple more pics, including revealing the mini DVD-R hidden within.
