EA settles for the AFL
When you can't buyout the NBA or the MLB, you've got to settle for the next best thing. In this case, that's the AFL (Arena Football League). That's right, EA has reached an exclusive deal with that other football league, which includes proceeds (for EA) from future sales of expansion teams.
The contract is set for four years beginning later this month (at the start of the AFL season), and an AFL game is expected to be ready and marketed by next season.
