Escaped prisoner lives it up at vacant Circuit City while on the lam
Not sure what the big deal is about some escaped prisoner living in a vacant electronics store in North Carolina for a few month, c'mon who among us hasn't secretly camped out inside of a Fry's or a Best Buy for few weeks in order to get first crack at some new gadget (we recommend the one in Manhattan Beach, CA, which has a tiki room—no lie!)? That said, Jeffrey Allen Manchester really did do it up From The Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E
Frankweiler-style, making life at the abandonded Circuit City pretty comfortable for himself. He lived in a small storage closet in back, installed running water courtesy of the Toys R Us next door, and when not busy robbing said toy store, kept himself entertained by shooting hoops on a mini-basketball net and watching movies on a portable DVD
player.
