Longhorn might integrate Tablet PC and Media Center

They still can't commit to any sort of firm details about when the next version of Windows, aka
Longhorn, is slated to come out,
but Microsoft has let slip that they're going to ditch the "Home" and "Pro" names in favor of more accurate descriptions of what each product does (more accurate than "Home"?) and that they're also thinking of integrating Tablet PC and Media Center functionalities into the core of the OS. Most people wouldn't care (or notice) a difference,
but it could conceivably mean that you could buy a shmancy laptop that served as a
Media Center PC when docked and doubled as a Tablet PC the rest of the time.
