The future of gaming begins in the present

"The Future of Game Design" is a new series,
posted by IGN, which attempts to explore the possibilities of next-gen games.  Interestingly enough, the series starts off in the present, as Part I reviews many of the successes of and disappointments in this current generation.  What's refreshing about the article is its lack of tech-specs, that is, it really focuses on the art—or perhaps more appropriately, "It's about game ideas."  Whether you're looking to vent those frustrations, or simply wish to praise the highlights of the current generation, this series has something for everyone.  Check it out.
