Koreans take it to the next level
It's embarrassing enough that the South Koreans are putting the rest of the world to shame with all those cellphones with five megapixel cameras, speech-to-text recognition, and
digital satellite TV tuners they're coming out with, but now they're taking it to the next level with all sorts crazy super-futuristic diagnostic features to help keep you healthy. We suspect they might be skirting the edge of science with a few of these, but SK Telecom says that next month they're coming out with a "mobile health care phone" with a built-in finger sensor which can analyze your blood sugar,
stress, and body fat levels. And then there's KTF, which is introducing a phone later this month that can give you an on-the-go eyesight exam, determining both your prescription and screen you for color blindness just by looking at the phone screen (even assuming this is legit, how many times a year are you really going to want to use that feature?).
