Konica Minolta's Dimage E50 digicam sports a large LCD screen

Here's a trend we ain't gonna complain about: manufacturers putting larger 2.5-inch LCD screens in their ultracompact digital cameras. Sony's been doing it for a while (peep their
DSC-T1,
DSC-T11,
DSC-T3, and DSC-T33) and we mentioned one from Minox this morning (the DC 5222), now you can add the Dimage E50, Konica Minolta's new 27.5mm thick, five megapixel digital camera, to the list. Despite the oversized LCD, the E50 is definitely on the entry-level tip, and the rest of the specs (3x optical zoom lens, the ability to record video clips for as long as you have space on your SD memory card) are about what you'll find in the rest of the Dimage line. Sounds like this one is for Europe only, at least for now.
