And that was a 1 percent decline from 2003!  The newest trend was portable gaming, as sales for all things handheld broke the $1 billion mark for the first time—DS, baby!

Halo 2 – 4.2 million
Madden ?05 (PS2) – 3.2 million
ESPN 2K5 (PS2) – 1.5 million
NFSU2 (PS2) – 1.4 million
Pokemon FireRed (GBA) – 1.2 million
Live ?05 (PS2) – 1.2 million
Spider-Man 2 (PS2) – 1.1 million
Halo – 1.1 million
ESPN 2K5 (Xbox) – 1.0 million
