Toshiba's rocks Sonoma on their new Dynabook SS MX & LX

In our society, where the computer industry is told to stop referring to IDE drives as master and slave to be more politically correct, we're a little glad Toshiba's SS line won't be headed here any time soon (at least not but through importers). But their new Sonoma-based Dynabook SS MX/LX lineup still makes our little hearts go pitter-patter: the 1.1-inch thick SS MX features a matching 1.1GHz CPU (we're assuming that means it's one of Intel's Ultra-low Voltage Pentium Ms, unless we haven't been told something), a 12-inch XGA
screen, 5-hour battery, DVD-R/RW/RAM (RAM?? Weird!), 802.11b/g, Bluetooth, 60GB HDD, SD and CompactFlash slots, and,
oddly, only 256MB RAM. The larger of the two, the 4.3-pound 0.89-inch thick (what!) SS LX features an Intel 725 1.6GHz CPU, 14-inch display, 512MB RAM, 802.11b/g, 80GB SATA HDD, 64MB nVidia GeForce 2 Go 6200, Gigabit Ethernet, SD and CompactFlash. Expect these to retail somewhere between unaffordable and unbelievable.
