iPod Loading, a service for Busy iPod owners

iPods are a hit, no one can deny that. Apple has sold a little over 10 million of the things, and while some people think they are just a fad, more sensible gadget lovers know that the iPod is here to stay.

Imagine, if you will, that you are a busy person with oodles of disposable income. Your loved ones give you an iPod for your birthday, or some other holiday, proving that they do in fact love you. You look at your extensive collection of CD's that ranges from ABBA to ZZ Top and you realize that is it going to take awhile to get all that music into your new toy.

Enter the iPod Loaders, as

profiled
by none other than the New York Times. It seems that some clever people all over the country are starting up iPod loading companies. They come to your home, take your CD's, rip them for you (within a week or so) and then give you the digital files and the CD's.  All for a price, of course, which seems to be about a buck or so a CD.

The two sites featured in the article, LoadPod and
Feed my pod, have websites that look like they were made in the late 90's by someone in their late 90's but I am sure their services are fine.

Would you ever use a service like this?  Since I am a control freak I like my music files' tags to be just so,
therefore I am willing to spend my own time on this task but for many people it seems like this would be a good deal.
