Napster considering online movie business

While rumors that Apple was going to announce an online movie store at
Macworld turned out to be false, it looks like at least one of its music competitors has designs on Hollywood: Napster CEO Chris Gorog, speaking at the Midem music industry conference in Cannes, mused that his company is "considering moving into video." We can understand why Gorog would want to get to video before his competitors; Napster's share of the online music market is about 11%, compared to 70% for Apple's iTunes. Even if restrictive licensing deals and bandwidth constraints keep the movie market from catching fire in the near term, obviously Napster knows which way the wind is blowing and thinks they have a chance to get a jump on the competition.
